This was the first poem I ever wrote.  It is old.  Interesting for me to look back and read.  JJ Porter.  My first love.  It's funny I've had 3 "The One's" since I wrote this poem.  4 great loves of my life but at the time I wrote this I couldn't conceive of being in love with anyone else.  I guess the lesson you can take from that is that life goes on, and that very few things are forever.  Do I still hold a place in my heart for Mr. Porter?  Of course!  I truly believe that love never goes away, only you find other people that you want in your life too.
