I’m in ruins

Bitter pieces of me shattered upon this world

No one ever knew the real me

Not even you

I spoke to you with racing heart and shaking hands

Barely knowing what I said

And you left before you understood

Who I am without you? 

I don’t know

I don’t feel anymore

Hollow like an old guitar

Emptied like a recycled bottle

Wasted… So very wasted

Does love ever play fair?

Survival 101

Sustenance, shelter

With out you I’m neither satisfied nor safe

Ever so hungry and ever so cold

Broken in this wilderness

Unable to pull through

You were the glue that held me

You did more guide me

You moved me

You gave me a reason to take that step

Then took it away

I’m at a stand still

Looking around

Looking for you

But only hearing the breeze

Don't ever let someone make you void.  Don't depend on them for your happiness, don't place all your hopes in them.  People are only people and as a whole we are uncaring and selfish.... It's not right... but it is the way of today's world.  Be strong... be who you are and don't let any person own you....
