They’re arguing again
He goes to his room
And turns on the radio
It drowns them out
He is 7
They’re yelling again
He goes to his room
And plays his boombox
As loud as he dares
It drowns them out
He is 9
They’re screaming again
He goes to his room
And plays his tapes
As loud as he dares
It drowns them out
He is 12
They’re fighting again
He goes to his room
Slams his door and plays his CD’s
As loud as he dares
It drowns them out
He is 16
He hits his wife
She runs to they’re room
And packs her bags
He turns on the stereo
As loud as he dares
So he can’t hear the door slam
When she leaves
He is 30
Abuse is passed on... learned from seeing. What you and your spouse do whether arguing, physically fighting, insulting each other or being loving. Your kids will take those things into their relationships whether they realise it or not. Be cautious of what your children see so that their futures can be what you want for them.
