RED SKY
Written by: Jim Wchimes
There’s a red sky at morning
Where I hoped you’d be
It’s a sense of belonging
That I desperately seek
As you stand in the shadows
Keeping safe from the rain
I’m aware of the sound
I’m alone once again
I’m not saying I know
Every answer on earth
I’m in tune with your words
And deciding their worth
Is it strait fact or fiction
When you’re sharing your tails
Is there somewhere to hide
When all sympathy fails
There’s a red sky at morning
Where I hoped you’d be
But the clouds have rolled in
And I’m straining to see
If there’s anything left
We can still call our own
As the fog slowly lifts
I can see I’m alone
Another poem I absolutely love. Kinda pulls the heartstrings doesn't it? I love how he makes you feel exactly how alone he is. I wish I could be so elegant.
