I'm sorry, I know I've been slacking when it comes to my blog.  I've actually been slacking on most things in my life lately.  Sometimes a new relationship (even if it started from an old one) can consume more of your time and energy than you really should be giving.  Anyway, life is still going good.... It's complicated... but good.  I am finally in my new house and the kids are back in school.  I have a social life for the first time in a very long time and I have great friends and family.  I have nothing to complain about.... So why post this song?  I have been in a classic rock type mode lately, (based mostly on the company I keep lol), For some reason when this tune comes on my I-pod I just have to crank it; a sure sign of a great song!  Have a listen.

Well, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write.... I've been a busy lady and I've been having the time of my life.  Things are going well for me here in Swan River.  I found a job, I am working as a legal assistant which is right up my ally with all the paperwork and computers... Still have a lot to learn but it's coming.  Last night I made an offer on a house in Minitonas and it was accepted... it's a cute little house but boy does it need a lot of work!  Luckily I have a lot of men in my life with carpentry and home repair skills... and for the most part they will work for beer... so that rocks!  My kids are spending a lot of time with their grandparents over the summer... a little weird cause I barely see them but once school starts well get back into a new routine... Me?  Well I've gone country, life has consisted of campfire nights, quadding, getting stuck in rivers and fields, a lot of smiling and a lot of laughing.  This is my favorite song right now, seems to fit my life quite perfectly.  I promise not to wait so long before I write again... in the mean time.... Well this is it... Tomorrow I leave this little town for another... To be fair.... I love Flin Flon... The people here are great and I've enjoyed the time I've spent here.  It may be a little bit before I write again... need to find some sort of routine in Swan First... but I do continue to keep writing to you... there are pleanty of amazing songs and poems you have yet to hear and I have yet to write.

I've posted this poem before.... but it seems so appropriate now.... okay so I'm not actually leaving til Saturday lol but the idea is the same.  I wrote this poem over 9 years ago when I left Swan River.  Now I am on my way back and its Flin Flon that I want to leave behind.  I've learned a lot here, made some good friends but mostly I figured out who I am and what I want... The truth is I ran away from something in Swan River... I think I needed to and now I think I need to go back for a lot of the same reasons I left... Funny how life does that to you...  I'm looking forward to the new chapter... No matter what it brings.

Well, my last week in Flin Flon has arrived... and I feel like it's going to take forever.  I am ready to get on with my life... though I know there are struggles and challenges facing me there too...  I know that the future I want for myself is there.  This is a beautiful new song from Adele... her voice is amazing.  The song speaks to me in so many ways.

I wrote this song almost 10 years ago about the guy I am currently seeing.   It's as true today as it was then.  It's funny how the world can sometimes just melt away when you are spending time with someone.  Nothing else seems to exist but the moment.  I've missed that feeling.
